Privacy Policy

The website is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives your IP address, browser and the pages you request, and keeps them in short-lived server logs that we use to keep the site working and safe from abuse.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count visits and measure how fast pages load. They don’t use cookies and don’t identify you; we only see totals, such as page views, the site that sent a visitor, country and device type.

Your browser also loads the server’s online status from mcsrvstat.us, and player heads and avatars from mc-heads.net and Discord. Those services see your IP address, as any website you visit would.

Signing in is optional. It’s needed to buy from the store and for account features such as the dashboard, event sign-ups and the live map. We use Discord sign-in through Supabase, which stores our accounts database. From Discord we receive your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar and email address, and your membership and roles in our Discord server.

We also save your Minecraft username once you link it in game, your server rank, and your staff role if you have one. If you sign up for an event on the website, we save that, and your Minecraft username is shown on the event. Sign-in uses cookies to keep you logged in (see below).

If you use Ask Honey on the help page, your question goes to Honey, our help bot, with a random ID instead of your name.

Payments go through Stripe. Stripe collects your card or other payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us your email address, the name and country on the payment, what you bought and when, and the state of any subscription.

We check the Minecraft username you enter with Mojang’s public lookup, then send it to Stripe with the order (with the giver’s name for a gift) so the perks can be applied. Our purchase system, which runs on Cloudflare, keeps a record of each order (username, item, price and date) and may thank buyers by Minecraft username in game or on our Discord. Stripe’s own handling of your data is covered by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

When you apply and play, our server and our Discord bots keep:

• your Minecraft username, UUID and IP address, used for the whitelist, bans and security;
• chat messages and commands, and in-game activity such as block changes, used for moderation;
• playtime and session statistics, and when you were last active, used for our inactivity rules;
• the link between your Discord and Minecraft accounts, your application, and support tickets and their transcripts;
• reports you send to staff, which include where you were in game when you sent them;
• staff notes and warnings, and inventory snapshots taken to settle reports.

Some in-game chat is relayed to our Discord, and Discord messages can be relayed into the game. Discord itself is covered by Discord’s Privacy Policy.

• to run the server, the website and your account, and to apply what you buy;
• to review applications and keep the whitelist up to date;
• to enforce our rules, handle reports and appeals, and prevent cheating, fraud and chargebacks;
• to answer you when you contact us, including messages about your purchases or the server;
• to understand, in totals, how people find and use the website.

We only use cookies that the site needs: the sign-in cookies set by Supabase that keep you logged in, and a 30-minute cookie that keeps an Ask Honey conversation together. Your browser also stores a few things locally, such as color presets you save. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics work without cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages to process payments and prevent fraud.

We don’t sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run Banana Sandwich:

• Vercel (website hosting and analytics);
• Supabase (accounts database and sign-in);
• Stripe (payments and subscriptions);
• Cloudflare (the system that applies purchases);
• Discord (sign-in, our Discord server and bots);
• Mojang (checking Minecraft usernames);
• the host that runs our Minecraft servers.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our players, staff and services, for example in a payment dispute.

Your Minecraft username, skin and builds are visible to other players. While you’re online, your name and player head show on our homepage, and your builds may appear on our live map, in our Discord and in screenshots and videos we post on our website and social media. For staff, the website shows your Discord and Minecraft names, avatar, staff title and approved bio. Color presets you publish show your name. Tell staff if you’d rather not be featured in our posts.

We keep account and player information while you’re part of the community, and moderation records (such as bans and the reasons for them) for as long as they’re needed to keep the server safe. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and payment rules require. Ask us to delete the rest and we will, unless we need it for one of those reasons.

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. You can also:

• sign out of the website at any time, or stop using Discord sign-in;
• cancel a subscription with the Cancel subscription button on our store page;
• ask staff to leave you out of future posts and videos.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you more rights. We’ll answer any request within 30 days.

Banana Sandwich is for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think someone under 18 has given us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Our services use encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we’ll tell affected players if something goes wrong.

We’ll update this page when what we collect changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll announce important changes on our Discord.
